A HELICOPTER joined in search efforts to find a man missing at a reservoir.
Police received a report of a man missing at Ardingly Reservoir at about 6.10pm yesterday.
The 49-year-old, who has not been named publicly, disappeared during an afternoon swim with friends.
A search yesterday evening saw boats scour the water as a National Police Air Service helicopter looked on from above.
A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: "At about 6.10pm we received a report of a man missing at Ardingly Reservoir.
"The 49-year-old man had not been seen since going swimming with friends in the afternoon.
"Extensive searches were carried out on Sunday, with the assistance of the National Police Air Service helicopter, and are continuing this morning."
