A FOOD delivery service has launched in a new town with discounts.

Deliveroo has announced that it is now working in Peacehaven, which will be joining a list of almost 800 towns and cities across the UK.

This means that locals can now order food from a range of restaurants and grocery retailers in the area.

All people will need to do is download the app or visit the website. For new customers, they will be able to receive £10 off their first order, if it is over £15.

To receive the discount, customers will need to use the code NEWROOTOWN when checking out.

The British company works with independent restaurants, well-known high-street vendors such as Costa Coffee and Papa Johns and convenience stores such as Co-op.

Berenice Cowan, head of UK Expansion for Deliveroo, said: "At last, we've arrived in Peacehaven.

"We can not wait to bring everyone great food from local and national favourites, and to help local chefs reach new customers.

"Hungry foodies, here we come!"

The launch should help small restaurant businesses across Peacehaven as they will be able to reach new customers and grow their restaurant businesses through offering delivery.

This should help restaurants to expand their businesses, this could lead to more staff employment.

Deliveroo will be looking for up to 50 people in Peacehaven to become riders to deliver food.

Those who work as riders will be able to work when they want and where they want.

Customers have the option to schedule orders via the Deliveroo app up to one day in advance or receive food as soon as possible between 11.30am and 11pm on weekdays and 11.30am and 11pm on weekends.
