SINGER James Blunt has announced he will be performing a concert in Brighton next year.
The You’re Beautiful singer is due to perform at The Brighton Centre on February 3, 2022, as part of a new UK arena tour.
The newly announced concert coincides with the release of James’ greatest hits album The Stars Beneath My Feet, which will be out on November 19.
During his 17-year career, the singer songwriter has recorded 23 million album sales, two Brit Awards, two Ivor Novello Awards and five Grammy nominations.
The 30-song album will feature a string of hit singles, as well as four new songs - Love Under Pressure, Unstoppable, Adrenaline and I Came For Love.
It will also include four exclusive live performances from around the world, including Glastonbury Festival.
Reflecting on his career, James said it seems surprising he’s releasing a greatest hits album at the age of 47.
“I wanted to call it Greatest Hit (And Songs I Wish You’d Heard) but the good people at Atlantic Records suggested I call it something more sensible, so it’s called The Stars Beneath My Feet,” he joked.
“If you’d ever wished that James Blunt had only ever released one album – this is that album.
“To celebrate its release, I’ll be heading out to tour the world all next year. I can’t wait to see you then.”
Brighton will host to the opening night of the tour before it moves across the UK.
Prior to the tour, James and his band have a number of rescheduled dates to perform, including a night at the Royal Albert Hall on July 23 - the first full-capacity concert at the venue as part of its 150th anniversary celebrations.
Tickets are priced from £35 and will go on general sale from 10am on July 23.
