POLICE have identified a man who was sought in connection with a racially-aggravated assault.

The abuse and assault happened near to the TMG social club in Sompting Road, Worthing on Saturday and an assailant left the scene.

Officers appealed for information to track down those responsible and released an image of a man they wished to speak to.

He has now been identified.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Enquiries are continuing into the assault, which took place near to the TMG social club in Sompting Road on Saturday, July 3.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any other information is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 1605 of 03/07.”
