Albion fan and television presenter Darren Tulett might regret rash words said to Arsene Wenger - IF England go all the way in the Euros.
Darren, who works for beIN SPORTS in Paris, has promised the former Arsenal boss he will have his head shaved live on TV if England lift the trophy.
Renowned Anglophile Wenger tipped England to win the Euros in the run-up to the competition.
Darren, from Lancing, was not convinced – but might have gone a bit far in making the point.
England still have a lot to do with a tough semi-final against Denmark to come before they can even think about the final.
But Darren admitted: “l made a bet ahead of the tournament that l would have my hair shaved off live on air should England win the final.
"It was on a pre-tournament show l was doing with Arsene Wenger among others.
“He was tipping England and I cut in to remind him we hadn’t reached a final since 1966 and had never played a final of the Euro.
“And l guess l was on a flow and those words came out. Never thought they would come back to haunt me!
“My colleagues dug out the clip and aired it on my show after the quarter-final win.
BRIGHTON TO FACE RANGERS IN PRE-SEASON
“Now l’m starting to worry!”
The reminders of his pre-tournament pledge rounded off a traumatic week for Darren - who had just found out his co-host Patrick Vieira had taken over in charge at Crystal Palace!
