A SEAFRONT venue has announced it is to host a theatre and cabaret event this weekend.
People are expected to gather on the lawns behind Rockwater Hove for the venue’s West End-inspired event which will take place on Friday and Saturday.
The 'West End On Sea presents Live On The Lawns' stage show “will feature hits from musicals old and new, with a few contemporary cabaret numbers thrown in for good measure”.
Stars from London’s West End are set to perform, and the event will be hosted by actor Jamie Kenna.
Luke Davis, founder of Rockwater Hove, said: "When establishing Rockwater Hove, I wanted the venue to be so much more than just a bar and restaurant; we aspired to provide the Hove community with a hub where not only could people socialise, but could also enjoy an array of unique entertainment
“After a year without live plays, comedy and music due to the coronavirus pandemic, we have now decided to bring The West End to the seafront.
"Utilising our incredible location by the seafront, friends and family can once again enjoy live cabaret and theatre on Rockwater's lawns.”
Guests will be asked to sit in groups of no more than six and will be required to adhere to social distancing at all times.
Deck chairs will be provided, and food and drink will be available to order through the event, which begins at 7pm.
Tickets for the 18+ event cost £35 and are available from the Rockwater website.
