A BOY has been arrested after a 16-year-old was stabbed to death.
Police officers were called to a disturbance at a residential address on Bracken Avenue in Shrublands, Croydon, just before 1am.
A 16-year-old male was found with stab wounds and was pronounced dead just after 1.30am despite efforts from the emergency services.
On Friday, a 15-year-old boy was arrested in Brighton in connection with the incident.
The boy was taken to a police station in East Sussex, which is where is currently remains.
The next of kin of the victim have been informed and are awaiting formal identification.
A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out and the police are keeping an "open mind".
Detective chief inspector Dave Blair, of the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said: “Despite this early arrest, we still want to hear from anyone who has information relating to this horrific incident.
“Have you heard something that could assist my officers? Did you see something that could help?
“If you know anything, no matter how small it may seem, please do the right thing and get in touch.”
