WALK-IN Covid-19 vaccination clinics will be open to all across Brighton and Hove this weekend.
The sessions are taking place in a bid to “Max the Vax”, amid a rise in case numbers across the city.
Last weekend, a total of 2000 doses were administered to locals in Sussex as pop up vaccine sessions. A further 20,000 jabs were given at the larger vaccination centres and pharmacies.

To date, 2.12 million vaccinations have been given across Sussex.
In the six months of the vaccine programme, 79.8% of the population has had their first dose, while 60.8% have had their second.
But with rising case numbers across Brighton, drop-in sessions will be running at Brighton Racecourse and city locations including St Peter’s Church and Hove Lawns this weekend for anyone living in Brighton over the age of 18 who has not yet received their first dose.
A further session is taking place at Waitrose for anyone aged 40+ who needs their first or second dose of AstraZeneca.
A Sussex Covid-19 vaccination programme spokesperson said the walk-in sessions have been a “huge success” to date.
“We hope these pop up sessions will encourage more people to receive their vaccination; you don’t need an appointment, just turn up – it really is that easy to get this vital protection,” they said.
“Our teams have worked incredibly hard to roll out the COVID-19 vaccine to our communities as quickly as we can but we know that there are still people who want a vaccination and are yet to come forward or are now due a second dose which is vital to ensure maximum protection.”
