WE ARE deep in the grip of Euro fever but for many football fans, Covid means the atmosphere and excitement is not quite what it should be.
Remember the days when you could celebrate in your local pub without having to book, without wearing a face mask and without worrying how many others were in your party?
We decided to take a look back at previous Euro competitions when England supporters were free to pack pubs and bars and shout and dance about as much as they liked when we scored.
Most of these Argus archive photos were taken in 2012 when England were knocked out by Italy, who went on to lose the final 4-0 to Spain.
Fingers crossed we will be back in the pubs properly for 2024.
