A BRUTE battered his partner and left her unconscious with a broken nose.
Steven Greavey attacked the woman in North Street, Brighton.
The 31-year-old used “excessive force” in the assault, a court heard.
It was revealed how the thug had attacked the woman, who The Argus is choosing not to name, in September 2019.
Greavey has a history of violence with convictions in 2017, 2018, and 2019, Brighton Magistrates’ Court heard.
District Judge Tessa Szagun jailed him for six months for the attack.
The judge noted: “Excessive force was used in a domestic setting.”
It was also noted that Greavey has refused to comply with community orders.
“You actions caused a fractured nose and loss of consciousness,” the judge told him.
“You have expressly stated you will not work with the probation service in response to a possible community disposal of your case.”
Greavey, of Bourne Street, Eastbourne, was found guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He was hailed for six month and must also pay a £122 surcharge following the hearing last month.
