A CIRCUS has offered NHS and care workers free tickets to a special preview show.
Along with one guest, NHS workers and care workers have been invited to enjoy special preview shows by the Continental Circus Berlin for free. The shows will take place tomorrow, Wednesday at 5pm and 7.45pm.
There are also some tickets available for the show on Saturday, June 19, when there will be a guest appearance from the Circus of Horrors, which combines horror, black comedy and rock and roll with circus acts.
The NHS and care workers have to call the box-office manager to reserve their seats. At the event, they will have to bring proof of employment when collecting their tickets.
The offer is capped after the first 300 seats are taken as the venue's capacity has been reduced to allow for social distancing.
John Haze, director of Circus Berlin and the Circus of Horrors, said: "We are offering free tickets as a thank you for all the hard work, especially during the last 13 months."
"As well as saving lives, they have also indirectly helped to get our industry up and running again, and for that, we are forever grateful.
"Both Continental Circus Berlin and the Circus of Horrors cast and crew look forward to welcoming the NHS staff and care workers in Brighton this week, and we promise them great entertainment!'
The Continental Circus Berlin is bringing its new show to Preston Park, Brighton. The circus will be incorporating acts from all over the world.
Hosting the show will be clowns Angelo and Eddie, which will also include quick-change artistes, high wire walkers, aerialists, musicians and Hula Hoop queens.
The displays will include balancing on a motorbike and the Globe of Death - where motorbike riders travel at G force speeds inside a mesh dome.
The circus will be performing inside a climate-controlled, Covid-19 secure, socially distanced theatre-style big top tent.
