A DOG groomers that has become an internet sensation has won an award.
LoveMud Mobile Dog Grooming based in Cranleigh Avenue, Rottingdean has won Best Dog Grooming and Pet Care Service in East Sussex in the 2021 UK Enterprise Awards.
Founded by Caroline Donoghue in 2012, LoveMud is a mobile dog groomer fully equipped to make any pooch shine and visit clients in Rottingdean, Ovingdean, Woodingdean, Brighton, Saltdean & Peacehaven.
Caroline said: "I'm absolutely thrilled to have won this award. I treat every dog as I would my own, and I love what I do.
"I have customers all over Brighton and Hove; some even travel over an hour to see me because of the way I work and the relationship I have built with their dogs."
Caroline has eight years of grooming experience and believes it should be as stress-free and enjoyable for the dog as possible. She doesn't use restraints unless required for safety) and uses positive reward-based training techniques throughout the grooming process.
Recently Caroline has seen her TikTok account, a video-sharing social networking service, showcasing how she works go viral. Her account has achieved over 60,000 subscribers worldwide, including Australia, Poland, the USA and six million video views in just three months.
She said: "I started filming live grooming videos in February as I believe the grooming industry should evolve.
"There's a need for industry regulation, and I see a gap in the understanding of canine behaviour, for the safety of both the groomer and the dogs, and I feel my videos help to bridge this gap."
From Spaniels to French bulldogs to Hungarian vizslas, LoveMud offers tailored services to meet any dogs requirements, whether it be a full groom, refreshing wash and dry, or a pedicure for paws.
