A DECORATED soldier who fought in Afghanistan and Kosovo has had his medals stolen from his doorstep by thieves.
The former serviceman had five medals taken from his front door after they were delivered back to him by a courier.
However, thieves stole the parcel from his doorstep in Lingfield Road, East Grinstead and made off with the box full of commemorations.
The medals include the Nato Kosovo, which was given to men who took part in Operation Allied Force in Kosovo.
Also stolen was the Queen's Jubilee medal and the British Army General Service Medal for Afghanistan.
Writing on Twitter, inspector Darren Taylor said: "Team Mid Sussex, we really need your help!
"An ex-serviceman had his medals stolen yesterday and desperately wants them back.
"They were delivered back to him via courier at 12.20 hours but the parcel was stolen from his doorstep in Lingfield Road, East Grinstead.
"Let's find them and get them back."
