TWENTY ceramic artworks have been stolen from a popular pottery in Newhaven.
Thieves broke into South Heighton Pottery, in Heighton Road, overnight on June 4 and swiped several handcrafted ceramics.
The "irreplaceable" items were due to be sold during the pottery’s annual festival in June and July.
The pottery is a small private business run by a devoted and diligent craftsman.
Anyone with information has been urged to contact the police.
A spokesman from Sussex Police said: "Overnight on June 4-5, the pottery at Heighton Road, South Heighton was broken into and 20 ceramic items were stolen.
"Anyone with information can contact the police either online at https://www.sussex.police.uk/contact/af/contact-us/ or by calling 101, quoting serial 0602 of 05/06."
