POLICE are appealing for information after a man was kicked to the ground on the seafront.
The attack was reported to have happened at about 9.30pm on Saturday at the Brighton Beach Basket Ball Court.
A disturbing video of the incident shows the victim trying to walk away as he is followed by the attacker.
While walking backwards, the victim knocks into a small child and a lamppost a the corner of the court.
Then, while his back was turned and was walking away, the attacker kicks out the victim's legs.
A thud can be heard as the victim falls headfirst towards the pavement.
Moments later, the attacker kicks the victim in the head, leaving him motionless on the ground.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said the force was not called to the incident, but has called for people to come forward with information.
He said: "We were informed of the video on Sunday afternoon.
"Anyone who saw what happened can contact the police either online at https://www.sussex.police.uk/contact/af/contact-us/ or by calling 101, quoting serial 531 of 06/06.
"We would also like to hear from the victim so that we can check on his welfare."
