PEOPLE are being warned not to travel after a person was hit by a train.
Southern Rail said the person was struck and killed between Hastings and Ashford International.
Shortly after 2pm, a spokesman said: "It is with great sadness that we report a person has been hit by a train.
"We're unable to run services between Hastings and Ashford International until further notice.
"Please do not travel. If you travel now, your journey length with be significantly extended."
As all lines are currently closed and trains may be cancelled or diverted until about 5pm.

You may be entitled to compensation if you experience a delay in completing your journey today.
Keep your train ticket and make a note of your journey, as both will be required to support any claim.
