THIS is the face of the doctor who had sulphuric acid thrown over her while she stood on her doorstep.
Doctor Rym Alaoui was rushed to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries after the noxious substance was thrown over her in Steine Gardens, Brighton, around 4.20pm on Thursday, May 20.
Rym, who works as a foundation doctor in Brighton, remains in hospital.
The doctor, who has a keen interest in neurology and anaesthetics, was the president of the Cardiff University Anaesthetics, Perioperative and Intensive Care Society.

She was described by a neighbour shocked by the attack as being "very pretty".
Medical student Milad Rouf has since been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and administering poison with intent to endanger life.
The 25-year-old was remanded in custody to appear at crown court on June 28, after a hearing before Brighton Magistrates' Court on Monday.
Residue of the acid remains on the door of the house, which was cordoned off by police investigating the attack.
One neighbour told The Argus they heard a "really bad scream" before seeing Rym being led out of the property with a "blanket" over her head.
She said at the time: "I think the whole street heard it (the scream)
"I came running down because I couldn't see anything from the window because it sounded like a scream that you never want to hear.
"A serious scream. I knew it was a young lady.
"I couldn't work out where the noise had come from, I came back in and then the next minute there was a load of police and ambulance outside.
"She had a blanket over her."
A second neighbour described how they saw an "acid attack kit" on the road outside the property after the attack.
He said: "I went out at about 9pm to get some bits from the shop and there was a plastic box with a printed note inside that said 'acid attack kit'.
"Less than ten metres away is where we chill. There is definitely a bit of concern."
A spokesman from Sussex Police said: "Anyone who has information which could help our investigation into the assault should report online or ring 101 quoting Operation Overstone."
