BRIGHTON is set for more warm temperatures and today could be the hottest day of the year so far.
People flocked to the seafront over the bank holiday weekend, with revellers packing out pubs and setting up camp on the beach to enjoy some long awaited sunshine.
Monday set a record temperature for the year so far, after 24.6C was recorded in Kinloss in Scotland, according to the Met Office.

The hottest day had been March 30 when the temperature hit 24.5C at Kew Gardens in London.
Although it was the warmest day so far in 2021, the weather was not especially hot for this time of year.

The record temperature for a late May bank holiday Monday is 32.8C recorded in 1944 at Horsham in West Sussex, Tunbridge Wells in Kent, and Regent's Park in central London.
But those unable to make the most of the bank holiday will still get time in the sun this week, with temperatures set to reach highs of around 27 degrees.

Today:
A dry, fine and sunny morning for much of the region, Staying dry with long periods of sunshine through the afternoon. Warm, but cooler on the coast during the afternoon in a developing onshore breeze. Maximum temperature 26 °C.
Tonight:
A dry evening with plenty of clear periods. Staying dry and clear through the early hours, with generally light winds as the onshore breeze eases. Minimum temperature 12 °C.
Wednesday:
A warm, dry and sunny morning on Wednesday. Sunshine becoming a little hazier during the afternoon with a risk of heavy showers during the evening Maximum temperature 27 °C.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
Band of showers clearing north on Thursday and weakening. Mainly dry but generally hazy sunshine Friday, but with a low risk of heavy showers. Mainly dry and warm on Saturday.
