THE most expensive car in the world has been built by a company based in Sussex.
Rolls-Royce has unveiled its £20m convertible grand tourer, featuring a huge umbrella that extends out of its back.
The company, based in Goodwood, say the car has been commissioned by a wealthy, flamboyant couple.
It includes a dinner set, rotating cocktail tables, matching chairs, a parasol and comes complete with a champagne chiller.
Torsten Muller-Otvos, CEO of Rolls-Royce, said: "This is one of our most ambitious project yet.
"It is where we ignore all pre-conceived notions of possibilities.
"It is where Rolls-Royce in collaboration with a very small number of its most revered clients sets new standards."
A cabin inside the car has been modified by the British car marker to include personalised "his and hers" watches.
They can be put in the dashboard to become the car's clock.
The rear deck opens up at the push of a button and contains temperature-controlled food warmers and cutlery.
Inside the motor, the leather fittings are made from the hides of "stress-free" cows in Bavaria.
The wooden trim in the cabin is reminiscent of a ship's hull.
The two-seat car is 18ft 11in long, 6ft 7in wide and 5ft 2in tall.
It has an eight-speed transmission and a 675 litre V12 engine with about 570 horse-power.
With a top speed of 155mph, it can do 0 to 62mph in about five seconds.
Mr Muller-Otvos added: "Every Rolls-Royce client is extra-ordinary, but within this group there exists a class of individual so significant that they demand an object that is truly transformative.
"They seek to commission a work of art that makes a permanent statement.
"A historic moment in time and we have created Rolls-Royce coach build to fulfill these desires."
