A VIGIL to mark the one-year anniversary of George Floyd's murder is to take place on Tuesday.
People are to gather at The Level, Brighton at 6pm for the demonstration which has been organised by the Brighton Black Lives Matter organisation.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lights, candles or torches, and to make banners and to wear a mask.
The vigil has been organised to mark the one-year anniversary of the murder of Mr Floyd, who was killed by police officer Derek Chauvin in the US state of Minnesota.
The event will also remember victims of police brutality in the UK and across the world.
A poster for the event says the event will be a “static and peaceful vigil.”

It reads: “In remembrance of George Floyd and the many victims of police brutality and state sanctioned violence in the UK, US and beyond.
“We aim to provide an opportunity to unite after one year on from the murder of George Floyd; let’s remember him and the many other people who have lost their lives due to police brutality and state sanctioned violence.
“We also want to take this opportunity to connect the dots between the murder of George Floyd, police violence in the UK and state sanctioned violence elsewhere in the world.
“Now is the time to come together and demand a better future for all – we are stronger together.”
The murder of Mr Floyd sparked a wave of global protests and a massive upsurge in support for the Black Lives Matter movement.
