A HELICOPTER assisted a film crew yesterday to shoot a scene in a seafront road.
My Policeman, a romantic drama which is being made by Amazon Studios, is being shot at locations across Sussex and stars pop star Harry Styles.
Pictures show a helicopter flying low over the Coast Road by Roedean School shortly after 7pm yesterday.
A 90s Brighton taxi could be seen driving along the road below and Highways cleared the road for filming.
An eyewitness said traffic was stopped in three-minute intervals shortly after 7pm to allow each take to be filmed.
Filming had taken place earlier that day at a clifftop house in Peacehaven.
The sighting comes after film crews were spotted in Saltdean earlier this week.
Gina McKee, who played Jackie Laverty in BBC drama Line of Duty was seen filming a scene alongside actor Linus Roache.
Gina, 57, will play an older version Emma Corrin’s character Marion and Linus, also 57, will play an older version of Harry' character Tom.
Pictures from the set show dozens of film trailers and lorries, as well as hundreds of masked crew members and extras.
Filming took place on Longridge Avenue, Saltdean, which had been transformed to look like Peacehaven in the mid-1990s.
Some of the new stores made especially for the movie included a movie rental shop, Shanley’s Food and Wine and Peacehaven Carpet Warehouse.
Saltdean is the latest place to host the cast of My Policeman, which stars the former One Direction star Harry.
My Policeman is set largely in Brighton and Hove, although locations in Worthing and Newhaven have also been used for filming.
The film is based on Brighton Bethan Roberts’s 2012 novel of the same name.
Harry will play Tom, the police officer of the title.
