READERS have reacted with delight at the news a popular clothing brand will be opening a store in a shopping centre next month.
Following the announcement that its Western Road shop would be shutting its doors for good earlier this year, New Look has now confirmed it will be opening a huge new shop in Churchill Square in Brighton.
The 5200sq ft store will be in the old Mothercare unit on the Lower Mall and will house womenswear, the 915 girls fashion and the brand’s popular accessory and shoe collections.
The shop is set to open on June 10 with a special launch.
Readers who follow The Argus on Facebook were quick to celebrate and tag friends to share the news.

The store will be a welcome boost for Churchill Square, which has seen big retailers such as Debenhams and Topshop announce store closures amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The Debenhams department store chain, which collapsed at the end of last year, will close its doors at Churchill Square for the final time on Saturday.
The chain was bought by online fashion retailer Boohoo, with 118 stores axed.
Topshop, which was bought out by online fashion brand ASOS, confirmed earlier this year it would not be reopening its flagship store at Churchill Square after lockdown.
The Arcadia retail group, which had previously owned Topshop, Topman, Miss Selfridge and HIIT, collapsed into insolvency at the start of December last year as pandemic closures further exacerbated the group's troubles.
A spokesman for New Look said: "We are excited to be opening our brand new store in Churchill Square on June 10.
“It’s a great location, right in the heart of Brighton, and we look forward to inviting our new and loyal customers to shop our latest ranges.”
Mark Buchanan-Smith, centre director at Churchill Square, said things are looking up for the year ahead.
He said: “We’re delighted New Look has chosen Churchill Square for its new Brighton store.
“We’re sure it’ll be very well received by our customers.
“Since we reopened in April it has been great to see the shoppers breathing life back into the city.
“We’re all geared up for a very positive summer and things are looking very promising for the rest of 2021.”
