ON MY weekly cycle rides I was pleased to see that the much-needed "clean-up" of Dukes Mound has taken place. However, as is usual with Brighton Council's contractors, it's all done half-heartedly.
On my most recent visit I noticed:
1) Temporary hoardings and cones left discarded
2) Uprooted bollards to prevent cars on the green
3) Pieces of concrete kerbs left in the road
4) Un-swept gutters filled with leaves/branches/litter
5) Road signage poles left unfixed and simply placed on the grass
6) Numerous amounts of litter (as usual not enough strategically placed
bins)
All in all a mess. I am not sure if this neglected area was better before
or after the clear up.
Well done Greens, for your usual inefficiencies.
