A LIDO will once again be filled with paddling paws this summer after it confirmed its annual dog swim will go-ahead.
Hundreds of hounds will be able to show off their best doggy paddles at Saltdean Lido this September.
The doggy swim event will be held over three weekends, with sessions on Saturday, September 11, through to Sunday, September 26.
Dog breeds great and small able to cool off in the main pool, enjoy a slide into the paddling pool and chase water jets in the wet play area.
Swimming is offered in 90-minute slots, with special quiet sessions, and swims just for petite pooches, also available.
Owners over the age of 16 can book a ticket to swim with their furry friend and spectator tickets are also available for those who want to watch and throw a toy from the poolside.
Organisers hold the event every year to help raise funds to continue to restore the Grade II listed Art Deco building.
In previous years, dog owners and their best friends have been pictured queuing round the block for the chance of a paddle.
But due to coronavirus restrictions, last year’s event was held over two weekends to stagger the numbers.
While owners were asked to abide by social distancing, the safety measures did not stop frolicking pooches from having fun and making a splash.
