A GREYHOUND who has spent his life on the racetrack is now looking for the perfect retirement home.
Shoreham Dogs Trust has put out an appeal to help find Rocco a new home where he can spend the rest of his days.
The charity, based on Brighton Road, is looking for someone to either foster Rocco or to offer him a permanent spot in their family.
Rocco is timid and will need time to adapt, as greyhounds are typically affectionate and quiet dogs.

But once he's settled, the retired racer's playful and cheeky character will start to come out.
The charity's website says: “He would make for a fantastic companion to people who will take him on plenty of adventures and then chill out on the sofa with him once back home!”
The four-year-old greyhound is described as a sensitive boy with a friendly nature.
He does not like being in kennels as he finds them overwhelming, but his carers are helping him to feel as comfortable as possible during his stay.
Anyone who wants to adopt Rocco will have to meet certain requirements.
He can worry when left alone, so a multiple person household would be ideal.
Rocco could also live with another dog, if it is a larger breed.
However, he will not be able to live in a home with any cats, small furry animals or birds.

Rocco cannot go for off-lead walks so will need a decent-sized garden where he can have a good run around to burn off some energy.
