POLICE are asking for the person who pulled a man away from a girl in an attempted sexual assault to come forward.
Officers received a report of an attempted sexual assault on a girl in Hatherleigh Gardens, Bognor Regis, between 7pm and 7.30pm on Friday, April 23.
The suspect is described as tall, slim and wearing a short brown leather jacket and a flat cap.
Police investigating the report would like to speak to a man and woman who walked past the attacker moments before the attempted assault took place, and another witness who pulled the suspect away from the victim.
A man was arrested on suspicion of attempting to sexually assault a girl.

He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
A spokesman from Sussex Police said: "Police investigating the report are urging anyone who saw what happened to come forward to assist with their enquiries.
"Anyone with any information is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 1402 of 23/04.
"Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to police via the independent charity Crimestoppers online or by calling 0800 555 111."
