AN ARTIST will bring a village’s gallery to life with a burst of colour this month.
Mikey Skinner is hosting his latest exhibition called Brighter Days in Rottingdean.
His paintings will be displayed at The Grange Gallery which is part of the village’s library.
The gallery has been closed since January and has been hit hard by the pandemic.
Mikey hopes to tap into a new mood after lockdown with his abstract expressionist work.
It is the latest among many venues which is hoping to make a big splash with visitors, and Mikey wants his colourful pieces to attract some attention.
He said: “The exhibition is called Brighter Days and consists of my big colourful canvases.”
Coronavirus rules will change on May 17 to allow venues such as pubs and restaurants to reopen with social distancing measures.
Art galleries and theatres can also begin to reopen.
Mikey’s exhibition will be free to enter for visitors and will run at the venue in The Green, Rottingdean, from Wednesday, May 19 to Sunday, May 30.
