TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a horror crash on the A27.
Sussex Police was called over the incident near the Ashcombe roundabout at Lewes at 10.20pm on Friday night (April 30).
The crash involved a black Audi S5, a silver Audi TT and a silver Ford Transit van.
Two people died in the crash.
They were in the black Audi, and were initially taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital where they later died of their injuries.
The police said their next of kin have been told.
They were a 39-year-old man from Lewes and a 33-year-old man from Brighton.
Images from the scene show debris and vehicles involved in the collision.
One vehicle appears to have flipped over during the incident, while another appears to have landed on its side.
The driver of the Ford transit van suffered a serious injury but is in a stable condition in hospital.

Two men are in custody and anyone with information should contact with us.

Police would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or has any dashcam footage of the incident.
Officers would also like to hear from anyone who witnessed the Audi vehicles prior to the collision, which may have been travelling with a white Audi S3.
The force said a 30-year-old man from Lewes has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, drug driving and possession of drugs.
Meanwhile a 29-year-old man from Lewes was also arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Both men remain in custody while the investigation is ongoing.
