A THIEF went on a spending spree with a stolen bank card.
John Cain took the card and used it fraudulently to purchase items in Brighton.
The 59-year-old made purchases at Easy Hours in Grand Parade, Boss Co News in Richmond Place, and B&W Stores in York Place.
He was also found in Ship Street, Brighton, with intent to steal.
At Brighton Magistrates’ Court this month he admitted three frauds, worth more than £80 in three transactions.
Cain was ordered to repay all the money as compensation to the victim of the fraud.
Magistrate Christopher Howard-Harris imposed a one-year suspended sentence.
Cain, of Gloucester Street, Brighton, must also pay a £128 surcharge and £85 costs.
