PART of a major motorway is closed due to a "police incident".
All lanes of traffic have been stopped both ways, as police deal with an incident on the M23 southbound between Junction 9 Gatwick and Junction 10 Crawley.
Officers have warned of delays and are advising drivers to find alternative routes.

Between J9 #Gatwick and J10 #Cralwey there is a police led incident going on. @sussex_police are at scene and also have traffic stopped prior to the incident #TrafficOfficers are near by to assist when required.

A spokesman from Sussex Police said: "We are dealing with an incident on the M23 southbound between J9 Gatwick and J10 Crawley.
"The road is closed. Expect delays and where possible please find alternative routes. We will update when the road re-opens."
