BIN collection times in the city will not change over the bank holiday, it has been confirmed.
Residents concerned that their waste will go uncollected over the Early May bank holiday have nothing to fear - as collection times will remain the same.
Anyone who is unsure when they can expect a visit from Cityclean can use the council's postcode tool online.
People can enter their postcode and select their address to find when their bins will be emptied.
The tool also allows users to download the full collection calendar and report a missed visit.
It comes as those enjoying the long weekend face a cold bank holiday, with the mercury not predicted to rise above 11c.
According to the Met Office, there are chances of light showers on Saturday and Monday afternoon.
A spokesman for the Met Office said: “Friday: Most places dry at first with bright or sunny spells after a chilly start. Scattered showers will develop into the afternoon.
"Still feeling cool, although generally light winds. Maximum temperature 13 °C.
“Outlook for Saturday to Monday: Saturday, chilly start, sunny spells and scattered afternoon showers.
"Sunday, sunny spells and scattered showers. Cool with early rural frost possible. Monday, rain and strong winds spreading from the west.”
