ARMED police are stationed near a college this afternoon following reports of gunfire.

Sussex Police responded to the incident near Crawley College and one man has been detained at the scene.

A video from the scene shows the scale of the police response, with armed police and dog units both in attendance.

People are being warned to stay aware from there area and staff and students are being evacuated.

Police have confirmed that two people were hurt - although they are not thought to be seriously injured.
