ALL who care for both UK and European football will have to unite to stop this elitist Euro Super League reaching reality.

We may have to "cut off our noses to spite our faces". The Premier League must make it plain the teams signing up for Super League will be banned from all English leagues and competitions within the control of UK and European federations.

The TV companies might prove more difficult but we should persuade them not to televise or promote this elitist league.

Yes the standard of clubs involved in new Premier League (probably top level teams in Championship promoted to Premier status) will perhaps mean accepting much-reduced fees for televising rights - so be it.

The fans, the same, total boycott and no subscribing to TV coverage of Super League.

In the future there may be player sanctions for those who renew contract with a Super League Club.

This is a a bit of a knee jerk reaction and may seem far fetched but the message is clear, it MUST NOT happen.

The owners will not be allowed to ruin our national game for the sake of meaningless additional millions.

I am a born and bred Chelsea supporter who has lived in Brighton for over 40 years and followed the tremendous efforts and "phoenix" type rise of Brighton and Hove Albion.

This is what our football pyramid produces. The dream of rising through the leagues must remain to all football clubs.
