Police were called to reports of a person singing Mustang Sally at the top of their lungs in the early hours.
The incident at an address in Ashurst Wood, near East Grinstead, on Sunday morning is being reported by police to environmental health officials on behalf of the "residents who had to endure it".
Mid Sussex Neighbourhood Policing Inspector Darren Taylor shared details of the unidentified singer's escapades on social media yesterday.
He wrote: "The team attended an address in Ashurst Wood 1.30am this morning due to a somewhat loud resident singing at the top of their voice the song Mustang Sally.
"Report going into our environmental health colleagues about the noise levels and complaints from residents who had to endure it."
