The A259 is partially blocked following a crash at Lancing.
The AA has reported slow traffic in the area as a result of the collision.
An AA traffic report issued at about 4.30pm stated: "The road is partially blocked and there is slow traffic due to a collision involving two cars on the A259 Brighton Road both ways from The Saltings (Saltings Roundabout) to the A2025 South Street."
Sussex Police remain at the scene.
A force spokeswoman said: "Police responded to a road traffic collision involving a car and a van in Brighton Road, Lancing, at 3.30pm on Wednesday, April 14.
"No serious injuries have been reported.
"The road remains partially blocked and officers are at the scene."
