A VAN driver has been caught red-handed after driving past police while using his phone.
The motorist passed PC Tom Van Der Wee on the A27 while "tapping away" at a phone mounted on the windscreen.
After being stopped by the officer, the driver claimed there was no issue because he was using Google Maps.

I proceeded to pull him over - in my bright big Police car.
He genuinely saw no issue as “it’s fine as long as it’s just Google maps you’re using.” 🤦♂️
Unbelievable. Ticket issued. pic.twitter.com/G0SVgfwM7r
