A GOGGLEBOX star has reopened his hairdressing salon after lockdown restrictions were eased.
Stephen Webb runs Lustig and Webb hair salon in Hurstpierpoint with his husband Daniel Lustig.
The 48-year-old took to social media to share an excited photograph of himself at work in his salon.
In the snap, Stephen could be seen wearing a face mask and a visor, in accordance with government guidance for hairdressers.
Stephen, who has been a fixture on the Channel 4 show since it began in 2013, has been running his salon for almost six years.
He trained with Toni and Guy and worked with them for 15 years in locations across the world, including Dubai, London and Brighton, before starting his own business.
He previously told the Argus that he was reluctant to open a salon in a small village after spending so many years working in large cities.
He said: “It’s been such an amazing little business and we’ve got a great clientele.
“We feel that some people may not think they’re going to earn much in a village, but that’s nonsense because you do – and they may think it’s only people of a certain age who come in here, but there’s a really buzzy evening life in Hurstpierpoint – the pubs and restaurants are normally always busy.
“It took me some convincing to open a salon there at first, rather than in Brighton, but we decided to go with it and never looked back.”
Losing lengthy lockdown locks and reinvigorating beauty treatments were the priority for some as relaxed rules meant salons and hairdressers were able to treat customers for the first time since January 6.
Early-morning queues formed outside hairdressers and barbers, with hundreds salons across Sussex now eligible to resume trading.
Stephen and Daniel can be seen on our screens every Friday on Channel 4 as part of the 17th series of Gogglebox.
