Established in 1926 Bardsley's is so popular there's usually a queue out the door.
With a rating of 4.6 and 480 reviews on Google this has got to be one of the highest rated and most popular fish and chip shops in the region.
One reviewer said: "Delicious fish and chips. By far the best in Brighton!
"All the staff are wonderful and very friendly."
Another added: "Bardsley’s is a fantastic, traditional fish and chip shop. I think it's the best in the world!
"I grew up in Brighton but now live overseas but I always come here when I visit."
2. Fillets, Lewes Road
Fillets has a large menu with something for everyone and you can even pre-order and get delivery to beat the queues.
One local visitor said:"Best battered sausage and steak and kidney pie in Brighton!
"No polystyrene packaging either so hurray for less rubbish! Lovely staff and very affordable."

"Always top quality fish and chips. The best in Brighton," one review says.
