LIGHT snow has fallen in Brighton and Hove.
A “few flakes of snow” fell in the city shortly before 3pm – just days after the seaside relished in an unusually warm Bank Holiday weekend.
The “30 seconds” of snowfall caught residents and forecasters by surprise, with the Met Office website currently showing temperatures of about 8c.
People took to Twitter to announce a dusting of the white stuff, describing the snow as a “tiny flurry” and “a few flakes”.

Video captured by artist Faye Bridgwater near Queens Park, Brighton, shows the moment the snow fell as she proclaims "it's snowing in Brighton".
“It didn’t land,” she said.
“It was just a little flutter.”
Residents in Hove, near Bhasvic college, also report spotting the snowfall.
BBC weather is predicting snow will fall across East Sussex from 10pm this evening.
According to the prediction, residents in or around East Grinstead, Horsham and Haywards Heath should prepare themselves for an icy dusting.
However, if the predictions are accurate, Brighton and Hove will miss out.
