The Argus archive pictures today are a treat for transport enthusiasts.
This is Mansfield Garage in Kingsway, Hove, pictured in about 1955.
Mansfields was taken over by the Rawsons Group, which then closed the Kingsway branch. The building was later replaced by a block of flats.

The car is a Vauxhall Wyvern EIX – these were first built in 1953.
A couple of decades earlier, in the Thirties, these brand new Rovers were on sale at a showroom in Brighton, possibly Moores which was just off Western Road. The price? Just over £300.
This gas-powered lorry is photographed on the corner of Nevill Avenue in Hove, right on the roundabout, in about 1940. Due to petrol rationing in the Second World War many vehicles were converted to gas. The lorry has a Brighton number plate.
