A DRIVER has been caught doing over double the speed limit on a popular seafront road.
Police slammed the motorist's behaviour as "completely unacceptable" as he sped to 78mph in Kingsway, Hove.
The speed limit for the road is 30mph.
The driver is set to appear in court over the incident.
Taking to Twitter to share their frustration, Sussex Road Police said: "Caught at 78mph in the 30mph limit on the Kingsway in Hove yesterday.
"This driver now has a date with the magistrates' court coming up.

"Completely unacceptable."
It comes after data revealed motorists increased their speeds on Brighton and Hove's main routes last year as coronavirus lockdown restrictions sparked a drop in traffic levels.
Department for Transport data shows cars and light vans travelled at an average speed of 18.2 mph on A roads in the city last year.

That was up from 16.8 mph in 2019 – a rise of eight per cent.
The A2010 saw the biggest rise in speeds, up 21 per cent to 10.8 mph, followed by the A23, up 14 per cent to 22.7mph.
Across England, the average speed of cars and light vans on A roads rose by eight per cent last year to 27.3 mph.
