FIREFIGHTERS have been called to tackle a fire at a house in Brighton.
Two engines were called to a residential property in Hawkhurst Road at 17:47 pm today.
Crews used two breathing apparatus and one high-pressure hose reel to extinguish a fire in a bedroom.
A spokesman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called at 17.47pm to attend a fire at a residential property in Hawkhurst Road, Brighton.

"Two appliances from Preston Circus attended and they used two breathing apparatus, as well as one high-pressure hose reel, to extinguish a fire in the bedroom.
"We left the scene at 18.17pm."
Brighton and Hove Buses have been forced to divert their BH24 services as a result of the blaze.
Writing on Twitter, they said: "Due to a house fire on Hawkhurst Road in Coldean, our BH24 services are diverting via Coldean Lane in both directions."
