DRINK and DRUG drivers have been caught by police on our roads.

Here is a round-up of those who have been named in Sussex magistrates’ courts.
MARTIN ALLEN
Aged 64, of Claremont Road, Seaford, admitted drink-driving in a Ford Fiesta in Newhaven. Tested positive for 159 micrograms (mcg) per 100 millilitres (ml) of breath. The legal limit is 35mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath. To do 80 hours of unpaid work and ten rehabilitation sessions, £95 surcharge, £85 costs. Three-year ban.
LEE WHITTAKER
Aged 48, of Blackwell Farm Road, East Grinstead, admitted drink-driving in a Saab at Gatwick. Tested for 59mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath. Fined £389, £38 surcharge, £200 costs. No ban imposed as his wife was ill at the time the offence was committed.
ADAM BURGESS
Aged 27, of Battle Road, Hastings, admitted driving a Vauxhall while unfit through drugs. Tested for cocaine and cannabis. To do 60 hours of unpaid work, £85 surcharge, £85 costs. Ten points on his licence.
CHRISTOPHER GODFREY
Aged 23, of Priory Close, Hastings, admitted drink-driving in a Volkswagen in Battle Road. Tested for 132 milligrams (mg) of alcohol per 100ml of blood. The legal limit is 80mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood. Fined £265, surcharge £34, costs £85. One-year ban.
JACK COLLINS
Aged 24, of Crest Way, Portslade, admitted drink-driving in Whitehawk Way in a Renault, driving without due care and attention, failing to stop, and driving without a valid licence or insurance. Tested for 43mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath. To do 120 hours of unpaid work, ten rehabilitation sessions, 19 Thinking Skills sessions, £95 surcharge, £85 costs. Three-year ban.
TANIK ERGEN
Aged 38, of Brighton Road, Shoreham, admitted drink-driving in a BMW at Russell Square, Brighton. Tested for 53mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath. Fined £200, £34 surcharge, £50 costs. 14-month ban.
EILEEN COOKE
Aged 66, of Portland Road, Hove, admitted drink-driving. Tested for 84mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath. Fined £346, £35 surcharge. 17-month ban.
AADAM NOURI
Aged 23, of Fleet Street, Brighton, admitted drink-driving in Providence Place. Tested for 44mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath. Fined £80, £34 surcharge, £85 costs. One-year ban.
RYAN CALDWELL
Aged 37, of Hazel Road, Bognor, found guilty of drink-driving in a Citroen and driving while tyre tread was not a minimum of 1.6 millimetres. Tested for 155mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood. Fined £300, £32 surcharge, £675 costs. 18-month ban.
JAMIE CORNWALL
Aged 35, of Ashdown Avenue, Saltdean, admitted drink-driving in a BMW in York Hill, Brighton. Tested for 54mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath. Fined £80, £34 surcharge, £85 costs. One-year ban.
JAMES HEATHER
Aged 38, of Hill Rise Avenue North, Lancing, admitted drug-driving, driving without insurance and driving while using a handheld mobile phone. Tested positive for cocaine. To do 80 hours of unpaid work, £160 fine, £95 surcharge, £85 costs. Three-year ban.
JADE-ELLA GILES
Aged 19, of Arundel Close, Shoreham, Admitted drink and drug driving in a Mercedes in Sompting. Tested for 92mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood and for cannabis. Fined £160, £34 surcharge, £85 costs. One-year ban.
MICHAEL MAUGHAN
Aged 67, of Braypool Lane, Patcham, admitted failing to stop and drink-driving. Tested for 53mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath. Fined £160, £34 surcharge, £85 costs. Three-year ban.
