AMBULANCE staff had some fun during their break by bursting into a dance routine to music from a hit film and sharing it on TikTok.
David Sneddon-Plumb, a paramedic at Worthing Ambulance Station, and his colleague Tom Barlow, danced to the track From Now On from The Greatest Showman film starring Hugh Jackman.
The pair learned a dance routine on their lunch break on Tuesday to bring some cheer amid the pandemic.
David, 35, said: "I don't often work with Tom but we always have fun.
"His five-year-old daughter Izzy is a massive fan of The Greatest Showman and an aspiring dancer, so I said let's learn the dance and do the TikTok challenge.
"We only get a half-hour break in a 12 hour shift but we did it in about five minutes.
"Izzy could not believe it was us doing the dance when he showed her.
"It's things like this which are keeping us sane during these crazy times."
The uplifting video, shared in TikTok and Instagram, has been viewed more than 20,000 times.
Although David has been a paramedic for seven years, he was previously a professional dancer and is a line dancing world champion, having won the competition in 2001 and 2003 when he has still a teenager.
He said: "I've not actually danced since about two Christmases ago so I was aching after this routine.
"It would have been amazing to get more people involved, but we just can't at the moment because of Covid-19.
"Hopefully we can one day though. My creative side has not disappeared."
