A STALKER appeared in court over his “obsessive” behaviour towards a woman.
Anton Mironov waited in his car to approach the victim in Worthing.
The woman was challenged by the stalker over her close relationship with her sister.
Brighton Magistrates’ Court heard how Mironov, 35, had demanded they start a relationship together after waiting for her in his car.
He turned up outside her new address at 2am, and even kept keys to her address stashed under his mattress.
The court heard how Mironov was “persistent” and had used “planning” to keep up his campaign.
He had shown “obsessive” behaviour, the court heard.
Mironov, formerly of Clifton Road, Worthing, was found guilty of stalking and was given a 16-week suspended prison sentence over his behaviour.
The court was told he has been working well with the probation service.
He was ordered to do 150 hours of unpaid work, 15 rehabilitation sessions, and pay £350 to the woman, who The Argus has chosen not to name.
