A NEW Netflix drama filmed in Brighton is set to become one of the streaming platform’s biggest hits.
Behind Her Eyes, which was released last week, is currently the most watched show on the service and eagle-eyed viewers may have spotted some familiar locations.
In September 2019, film crews descended on Cosiez Cafe in Upper St James’s Street, Brighton.
People in the city took well to the filming taking place, describing it as “exciting” and “important” for Brighton.
The cast features Game of Thrones star Robert Aramayo, Vanity Fair lead Tom Bateman and Eve Hewson, who recently featured in the box office version of Robin Hood alongside Jamie Foxx and Taron Egerton. Bateman, engaged to Star Wars actress Daisy Ridley, also starred in ITV’s Jekyll and Hyde.
The mini-series tells the story of single mother Louise, played by Simona Brown of The Night Manager, who has an affair with her psychiatrist boss David but goes on to befriend his wife Adele.
It is described as a “dark, psychological tale of suspense and twisted revelations”.
For the show’s dramatic final scene production team’s descended on London Road between Cuckfield and Balcome to film the panoramic sequence.

In behind-the-scenes photos released by Netflix, filming can be seen taking place on Brighton seafront near the Palace Pier, as well as Brighton Station.
Following the success of the first season, speculation is growing as to whether a second season is in the pipeline.
Speaking to Heart FM, Eve Hewson said she would love to do to a prequel exploring her character’s time spent in Brighton.
She said: “Wouldn’t it be cool to do a prequel of what happened in that other town that David and Adele were in before they came to London?”
