STORE staff were left shaken after a robber brandishing a weapon demanded cash from the till.
Police were called over the robbery at the Co-op in Framfield Way, Eastbourne on Tuesday (February 23).
The incident happened at about 9.30pm.
CCTV shows a man in a purple baseball cap with the word “Boston” on the front entering the store.
He went straight to the counter, and had wrapped a blue scarf over his face to stop him from being identified.
The robber wore black gloves, a black coat, black trousers and beige shoes or boots.
Sussex Police have appealed for witnesses over the incident.
The force said: “Do you recognise this man?
“A man was reported to have entered the store with a metal object around 9.30pm on Tuesday demanding money from the till.
“A quantity of cash was handed over.
No one was injured but staff were left shaken by the incident.
Anyone who recognises the suspect or who has information about the robbery should contact Sussex Police online or call 101 and quote reference 1318 of 23/02.
