Sussex Police are moving to convict an online troll responsible for filming an offensive video targeting Katie Price and her son Harvey.
The former glamour model is said to be "over the moon" at the news having previously fought fiercely against online abuse directed at her son.
The video, which was widely circulated on social media, showed a couple appearing to mock Katie and Harvey Price, with one of the people filmed using blackface.
After being made aware of the clip, Katie took to Instagram to try and track down those responsible.
In a post on the social media site, she wrote: "I've been sent this disgusting, racist mockery-taking video about me and Harvey mocking his disabilities, clearly planned hence the face-painting (sic).
"Does anybody know these disgusting humans as I will be reporting to the police #Harvey'sLaw.
"Words cannot describe how upset I am, this is so cruel. These people need reporting."
The video was reported to police in early November last year. Within ten hours, a 52-year-old man from Hastings was arrested on suspicion of sending by public communication network an offensive/indecent/obscene/menacing message".
On Friday, a Sussex Police spokesman shared the latest from the case.
He told The Argus: "A 52-year-old man from St Leonards, arrested on suspicion of sending by public communication network an offensive/indecent/obscene/menacing message, remains released under investigation, pending further enquiries.
"There are no further updates."
It is understood the force "will be looking to submit a report to the Crown Prosecution Service".
The Daily Mail reported that Katie, who was born in Brighton, is "over the moon" that police will be moving to prosecute the person responsible for filming the video.
The publication also said that the mum-of-five has been contacted by Sussex Police about giving evidence in relation to the case.
Katie appeared before MPs last summer to discuss the internet trolling targeted at her Harvey.
This was linked to the 42-year-old's campaign for a new law, which she has dubbed “Harvey’s Law”, to make online abuse a specific offence and to create a register of offenders.
Harvey, 18, has an underactive thyroid, partial blindness and diabetes, as well as Prader-Willi Syndrome.
This is a rare genetic condition with symptoms including an excessive appetite, weight gain, learning difficulties and weak muscles.
Having grown up in the public eye, Harvey has been the victim of a barrage of abuse throughout his life.
Katie hopes the creation of Harvey's Law could put a stop to the vile actions of online trolls.
