ONE person has died from coronavirus at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust in the latest 24-hour period.
NHS England figures show 421 people had died in hospital as of 5pm on Monday.
That was an increase of one compared to Sunday, when there were 420.
It means there have been 14 deaths in the past week, down from 22 the previous week.
The victims were among 10,673 deaths recorded across the South East.

At East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, five new coronavirus deaths have been recorded.
The new figures mean there have been 31 deaths in the past week, down from 37 the previous week.
It comes days after the area saw the number of cases rise by 145.
Elsewhere, NHS England figures show 444 people had died in hospital at Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust as of 5pm on Monday.
That was an increase of four compared to Sunday when there were 440.
It means there have been 25 deaths in the past week, down from 35 the previous week.
The victims were among 10,673 deaths recorded across the South East.
