THE areas of Sussex with the lowest number of new coronavirus cases have been revealed.
Figures from Public Health England show the number of positive cases reported in areas across the UK in the week leading up to February 9, the most recent complete data.
This is displayed on an interactive map produced by the government, with Britain broken into Middle Super Output Areas (MSOA) - a geographic hierarchy designed to improve the reporting of small area statistics in England and Wales, with each area having a minimum population of 5,000 and a maximum population of 7,200, and are updated daily.
Areas are shaded in different colours depending on the number of new weekly Covid-19 cases recorded there.
Purple areas have reported the most positive tests (400 or more new cases per 100,000 population) blue areas have recorded between 100 and 399 new cases per 100,000 population and green areas have confirmed less than 100 new cases per 100,000 residents.
Areas which are not shaded in and are left blank have recorded fewer than three cases in the week leading up to February 9.
The map states: "For smaller areas (eg MSOAs) with fewer than three cases, we do not show data. This is to protect individuals' identities."
